SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 19, 2024 – The POLI MP400P is an easy-to-use handheld multi-gas detector that offers flexibility and safety with its innovative Inert Mode.

The POLI MP400P Inert Mode is perfect for situations where inert gases are dominant and there is an absence of oxygen. This can be in laboratories where controlled atmospheres can be common, in maintenance tanks and confined spaces, or in inert gas storage. In the oil and gas industry, the POLI MP400P is applicable during gas processing when inert gases are used in exploration environments.

The new POLI MP400P easily switches into Inert mode by using a one-button action, making operating the device convenient and simple. This detector uses non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) LEL sensors so it is functional in low to no O2 environments where catalytic combustion sensors would fail.

This detector is equipped with inverted oxygen alarms that trigger when O2 levels are above or below alarm limits. This can help identify when conditions, especially in confined spaces, become hazardous and could be missed by traditional O2 detectors. The inverted alarms are set on default at 4% and 5% but can be customized to fit your needs.

By using 1/8” i.d. tubing, the built-in pump can sample from 100 feet or more, allowing remote monitoring and increasing safety. The detector is equipped with a durable double-shot outer case and a unique Man-Down alarm that notifies the team if the operator becomes incapacitated.

With a 16-hour rechargeable Li-ion battery, the POLI MP400P ensures uninterrupted operation for a full workday on a full charge. This detector’s six-month data logging capabilities allow users to monitor trends long-term and keep reports in case of incidents.
