Midland, Texas – August 20, 2024 – mPower Electronics opened a new location in Midland, Texas on July 1 to better serve and provide gas detection products to the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin region.

Previously, the mPower Texas office was located in Pasadena. By moving to Midland, the office is more accessible to clients in the Permian Basin and allows the mPower team to help customers more efficiently.

The new space is a 2500 sq ft industrial office that is located off West Loop 250. The address for the new location is 5023 Princeton Ave. #11, Midland, TX 79703.

“We are excited to have moved to Midland,” Director of Sales Brian Wingo said. “By positioning our office in the heart of the oil and gas industry, we can better meet the unique needs of our clients in the region.”

With the new Midland location, the mPower team has also expanded. Product Engineer Aubrey Miskell and Midland Regional Sales Manager Wayne Brunt have been at the forefront of leading the opening of the new office.

“We wanted to be where our customers are,” Miskell said. “Our goal is to enhance safety even further when it comes to gas detection.”

Miskell has 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has held many positions, including engineering, sales, product development, and more. His vast insight has led to the successful opening of the Midland office and contributed to the development and launch of the new VOXiWatch II, Rig Monitor System, and other upcoming wireless fixed systems.

Brunt brings a fresh perspective and unique insight to the Midland office. Drawing on his experience as a business development manager and previously owning an environmental company, he continues to drive sustainable growth and bring innovative strategies to the table.

mPower Electronics provides fixed, portable, and personal gas detectors (single and multi-gas) to serve a variety of applications, as well as handheld VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) monitors available for ppb (parts per billion) detection. These gas detection instruments monitor levels of common harmful gases found in oil and gas working environments such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfides, and nitrogen oxides.

“We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions and products for our customers,” Bobbie Lyn Smith, Director of Operations, said. “Our gas detectors meet the high demands of the industry and elevate safety measures.”

Gas detectors and sensors are used in various applications in the oil and gas industry to keep workers safe, prevent fires and explosions, and stay in compliance with regulations. The mPower product lines, such as the POLI series CSE monitors, the UNI series, and NEO photo-ionization detectors, have proven to reliably help companies achieve their safety goals.

“We look forward to serving our customers in the Permian Basin and the new opportunities that the location will bring,” Brunt said. “Safety is a top priority for the companies in this industry and we’re happy to provide that for them.”
