Making Powerful Senses

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – October 24, 2024 – MPower Electronics released the UNI Lite, their newest disposable single gas detector. This is a maintenance-free solution for detecting carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S).
The UNI Lite is a simple-to-use, one-button operating system that can last up to two years without needing to be charged. The extended battery life means fewer disruptions on the job site and continuous monitoring and protection.
“The UNI Lite is a reliable portable gas detector that allows your team to monitor hazardous gases without interruptions,” Director of Operations Bobbie Lyn Smith said. “The workers on the job won’t have to worry about stopping workflow to charge the device.”
With six bright red flashing LEDs and high and low alarm settings, the UNI Lite offers enhanced safety features. The audible and visual alerts ensure workers will be notified of the presence of dangerous gas in all working conditions, even if the site is noisy or has limited visibility.
“We created the UNI Lite to help maximize safety while still offering an easy to use system,” Director of Sales Brian Wingo said. “Having multiple types of alarms and different alert settings means your employees can customize it to the situation.”
The UNI Lite has an IP-67 rating, making it dust and water resistant. The device has been certified by the IECEx and CNEX. This ensures that the UNI Lite can safely operate in harsh conditions without causing explosions and is compliant on an international level. With the 50-event logging, your team can track trends and view reports to improve safety and investigate any incidents.
The device is constructed of a strong, durable material but designed with comfort in mind. This allows the UNI Lite to be drop-resistant without getting in the way of work operations.
“Even though the UNI Lite is a maintenance-free gas detector, it was built to last and operate in hazardous conditions,” Product Engineer Aubrey Miskell said. “The device is built with materials that can withstand industrial, high-risk environments.”
The UNI Lite detector is great for search and rescue or hazmat teams, assessing air quality, fire suppression and investigations, and monitoring workplace hazards. This device is also applicable to many oil and gas situations and environments.
