SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 17, 2024 – The mPower Electronics team is excited to announce the launch of the VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor System. With advanced features and multi-gas detection capabilities, the VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor is designed to withstand the demanding conditions of the oil and gas industry while improving safety.

The VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor was engineered to continuously monitor Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and LEL combustible gas levels on temporary workover rigs.

H2S and LEL gases naturally occur underground and in other oil and gas environments. During workover operations and drilling, these gases can be released. If the area is not properly ventilated, these gases can become hazardous to workers’ health or cause fires and/or explosions. If these gases are detected, the VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor will alert those on the worksite with audible and visual alarms.

“It is critical to monitor these gases in real time because they can be so detrimental,” Director of Operations Bobbie Lyn Smith said. “This rig monitor quickly alerts the crew so they can take action.”

To withstand the conditions of a workover rig, the VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor System is equipped with H2S and LEL transmitters that have explosion-proof enclosures, splash/mudguards, and strain relief for the cables. The transmitters are dust and water-resistant and have an IP-67 rating.

“The VOXiWatch isn’t only reliable, it’s durable,” Product Engineer Aubrey Miskell said. “We combined the durable design with our advanced gas detection technology to help ensure the safety of workover rig workers.”

With a convenient mounting bracket, 25-foot transmitter cables, and a 50-foot power cable, the VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor offers flexible setup options that work great for workover rigs.

The VOXiWatch II Rig Monitor also offers a large graphic color LCD and a push-button interface. This makes the system user-friendly and allows operators to quickly read gas levels.
