Chief Chemist
Werner Haag, Chief Chemist at mPower, has 40 years of experience as an environmental chemist, doing fundamental research in the fate of pollutants in the environment and commercial treatment systems. He has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is noted for authoring the book “Theory and Applications of Direct-Reading Photoionization Detectors,” which is considered the general reference PID Handbook for the industry. Werner has a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. from M.I.T. He has conducted research at Oak Ridge & Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories in Switzerland and at SRI International. For the past 20 years, he has worked at gas detection companies including RAE Systems, Factory Direct Safety and Ion Science.
