Just in time for the NFPA Conference & Expo in San Antonio, TX, mPower Electronics Inc. Booth #549 is pleased to announce that two of our popular gas detectors have been UL-certified.
Brent Yaschuk, VP of Sales and Marketing, explained why UL certification of the NEO and POLI detectors is big news for mPower. “In our industry where safety is critical, we have to be 100 per cent certain that our products are reliable and effective when time is of the essence,” he said. “UL Standards are all about building a safer, more sustainable world. Over 1,500 standards have been developed to enhance safety in the workplace, and we’re so proud that our detectors are among these highly reputable products that have received UL certification.”
The NEO photo-ionization detector is one of the most advanced handheld VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) monitors available for ppb (parts per billion) detection. The NEO offers several models from the most sensitive 1 ppb to a high range up to 15,000 ppm for different applications and a benzene-specific version.
The NEO is popular for applications like industrial hygiene, oil and gas, environment testing, and fire and hazmat to name a few.
The POLI multi-gas detector offers 4- or 5-gas monitoring for Confined Space Entry (CSE) compliance, of toxic gases (30+), oxygen (O2), combustibles (LEL), carbon dioxide (CO2) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The POLI MP400 is a basic detector using diffusion sampling for O2, LEL, carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) sensors.
An additional advantage of the POLI is cost of ownership, as it offers industry leading value and sensor replacement costs. The POLI is also useful for industrial hygiene, oil and gas, environmental, chemical and pharmaceutical applications.
mPower’s other pre-existing UL-certified detectors include the UNI MP 100 single gas detectors and our UNI 321 maintenance-free single gas detectors.
“If you’re planning on attending the NFPA Conference from June 17-20 in San Antonio, be sure to stop by our booth to demo our gas detectors along with the POLI (LEL/O2/CO/HCN) a great firefighter configuration.
